Children aged 8 - 12 years can have a fantastic opportunity to spend hands on time with birds of prey, in our new Falconry Fun Days, designed both to educate and to entertain, run by expert Falconers.
The Day begins at 10am. A VIP tour of the birds is followed by short tuition on handling the birds. Then it's straight on to wearing a Falconry glove and flying birds of prey. There is plenty of bird flying and handling through the day, including Owls, Hawks and Vultures, giving a real insight into their instincts and behaviour in the wild with adventure walks throughout the gardens and woods as the birds swoop and dive on to the gloved hand.
After a packed lunch (not provided), the afternoon brings more flying and fun, including a quiz (everyone has a prize!). The day ends at 4pm with your children going home with a certificate of achievement and a huge smile! Please send them in with a camera.
Children's Falconry Fun Days are run during Half Term and School Holidays weekdays only, with a maximum of 12 children participating on any one day. All Hawking Centre staff are Kent Police CRB checked. To book please call us on 01795 473680 (booking line open Mon - Fri) or email firstname.lastname@example.org
