About Us

The Hawking Centre is owned by Leigh and Jo Holmes, Falconers and Television presenters and managed by expert falconers Aaron Mooring and Lotty Brown, running from Doddington Place Gardens in Kent.

The Centre is now based at this exclusive private estate after years of being based at the historic Leeds Castle. We primarily run Falconry Experience days seven days a week and give free flying demonstrations on a Sunday afternoon throughout the spring and summer. The demonstrations take place on the formal Lawn and include lots of family participation.

The estate is high up on the hills and includes acres of woodland, landscaped gardens in quintessentially English countryside. The Hawking Centre is also home to a special team of birds including an unusual Chilean Eagle named Margeaux, endearing Owls to Peregrine Falcons and a very friendly Hooded Vulture!
